The task of Micro4 / 3 Italia, since its inception, has been to find and bring to light interesting talents, works and authors who use the Micro 4/3 photographic system.
Today we are going to meet a talented wedding photographer from Brescia who has found the ideal tool for his job in the Olympus system: Nick Gritti
“Hi I’m Nick! I work as a professional photographer and in the last 10 years I have specialized in Wedding Reportage. If there is one thing I have learned, it is that there is nothing more subjective and personal than photography: 10 photographers with identical cameras will give 10 completely different results from each other.
I have been working with Olympus mirrorless since 2014. First with the Em1 and then I switched to the Em1 Mark II. As lenses I use the Zuiko 7-14 mm f2.8 Pro, Zuiko 40-150 mm f2.8 Pro, Zuiko 25 mm f1.2 Pro (lens with which I do 80% of the work).
I think that the micro 4/3 system gives countless advantages to those who know how to exploit it, in particular for the lightness and freedom of movement it offers the photographer: I love being able to move fast.
With Olympus I also make video projects.
As far as I’m concerned, being a wedding photographer comes with a great responsibility. From the very beginning, I made it my point to always create something original for each couple. I particularly love to enhance the bride with her dress and her beauty… there is no other day in a woman’s life when she can be more beautiful than she is during her wedding…
My job… give her the value she deserves!
With my work I want to demonstrate day by day that Wedding Photography may not be trivial as many, on the contrary, want to believe.
It can offer many creative ideas and it is the job of the good photographer to innovate it and make it special and original.
The thing I hear from many colleagues: “Weddings are all the same and in the end they always take the same photos: nothing more wrong!
I do this job with great dedication and passion with the awareness of having a great responsibility; in this way the clients who choose me know they are in front of a trusted friend even more than a “simple” service provider: getting to know couples well, before photographing them, is part of this process.
