Nel giro di pochi mesi Olympus ha aggiornato tutta la sua gamma OM-D. Poco meno di un anno fa era toccato alla E-M5 Mark III e ad inizio 2020 è stata presentata la ammiraglia E-M1 Mark III: non stupisce quindi che anche la più piccola della serie sia giunta al suo nuovo step evolutivo.
La OM-D E-M10 è la prima macchina fotografica della serie a raggiungere la quarta versione: se nella incarnazione precedente le novità non erano state tantissime in questa nuova evoluzione le cose si fanno parecchio più interessanti.
